Potomac Masonry is a small family owned masonry business located in the heart of Northern Virginia. Its founder and owner, Ed Dustin, has over two decades of experience in construction/management and has personally completed over 3500 Potomac Masonry projects to date. The company specializes in residential custom projects with a high percentage of the work coming from previously satisfied customers and their referrals. Prior to starting his business Ed was building custom homes in the Alexandria area for several years. Ed will personally come out and give you a free estimate on any type project - no matter the size. Potomac Masonry Work Crew
Meet the guys who make the produce some of Northern Virginia finest masonry work(from left to right) Danial Landa (mason), Luis Landa (foreman/lead mason) and Carlos Rodriguez (laborer/apprentice). They have been with Potomac Masonry since its beginning. Ed has set standards for these men and they continue to exceed them on a daily basis. You will never meet a more respectful, nice and hardworking group of men in the business. Feel free to ask them questions during your work, they can help you understand what's going on immediately. Potomac Masonry's 5/1 Warranty
Potomac Masonry will give you a five year warranty on workmanship for all new brick, paver and flagstone installation's that has a concrete base installed by us. We offer a one year warranty on workmanship for all new concrete work to include concrete driveways, walkways and walls. We offer a one year warranty for all repairs on we performed on existing flagstone, brick or pavers over existing concrete. Brick, stone or paver's that we install on a stone dust/gravel base we offer a 1 year warranty. Warranties are not transferable, and are non negotiable. We strive to deliver a superior product to keep warranty/service issue's at a minimum. Remember once we leave your masonry is your responsibility, so keep up the minor maintenance so your project will remain beautiful for a long time!
*Extended warranties may be purchased at completion of the job.
What we do cover:
Broken or cracked mortar joints that were installed on a concrete base that we installed (5years) If installed on a existing concrete base (1 year) *some exceptions may apply to existing concrete surfaces
Loose stones/bricks or pavers that have been set on a solid or permeable base
Partial or complete collapsing of a structure that we installed
Concrete work, sections of concrete greater than 1" will be removed and replaced by section as large as the crack itself
What we do not cover:
Deterioration of joints or masonry surfaces due to over exposure from water, mold, fungus and fire.
Use of any chemical to clear or remove ice or snow from the surface, or use of any machinery that causes harm to the finished surface
Partial or complete collapsing of the structure from any act of god. (Including hurricane, lightening, tornado, flood, fire, earthquake etc.)
Cracking in masonry surfaces due to settling, shifting, abuse from new construction by location of new work.
Collision (human or mechanical)
Improper use of structure (Heavy machinery or large delivery trucks).
Cracks in masonry installations that are less then 1" , due to shifting of concrete due to acts of god or improper use
Concrete work: the following Specific items are not covered under warranty: Hairline cracks, spalling or slab shifting due to water, snow exposure, and salt, chemicals, and de-icers. Cracks less than 1" wide.
